Bold Text Generator. Bold without a bold button.
This page turns your text into bold text you can copy and paste. Most bios, captions and usernames have no bold button, so these styles swap each letter for a bold Unicode character instead. There are four letter sets: Bold, Bold Italic, Sans Bold and Sans Bold Italic, each plain or inside a frame. All of them are in the "Easy to read" group of the table below.
Where these styles show up
These styles are Unicode characters, not a font, so the app or device you paste into decides how they look. If its font has no shape for a character, that character shows as a box.

FAQ
Updated 22 October 2026
How do I use these bold text styles?
Type your text in the box and every style updates. Tap the style you like to copy it, then paste it into a bio, caption, username or message.
How is this different from bold in a document?
Bold in a document or an email is formatting, and it is lost when you paste into a box that only takes plain text. These styles use bold Unicode characters, so the bold look stays with the text in a bio, caption or name.
Can I make just one word bold?
Yes. Type only that word here, copy the style you like, and paste it into your sentence between the ordinary words.
Do I need to install a font?
No. Fancy text is made of Unicode characters, not a font file. You copy it as ordinary text and paste it wherever text is accepted, so there is nothing to install.
Why do some letters show as boxes or squares?
The app or device you paste into draws the characters with its own font. When that font has no shape for a character, it shows a box or a blank space instead. Styles in the "Shows on most phones and computers" group are the safer choice.
