Glitch Text Generator. Text that looks broken.
This page turns your text into glitch text, also called zalgo text, that you can copy and paste. The glitch styles add combining marks to every letter, so the marks pile up above and below the line and the text looks corrupted. They come on plain, script, bold, italic, fraktur and double-struck letters. Upside Down and Mirrored flip your text over or reverse it. Glitch text is hard to read, so it suits a short name or a single word better than a sentence.
Where these styles show up
These styles are Unicode characters, not a font, so the app or device you paste into decides how they look. If its font has no shape for a character, that character shows as a box.

FAQ
Updated 22 October 2026
How do I use these glitch text styles?
Type your text in the box and every style updates. Tap the style you like to copy it, then paste it into a bio, caption, username or message.
What is zalgo text?
Zalgo text is ordinary letters with extra combining marks attached to them. A combining mark is a Unicode character that the device draws on top of, or underneath, the letter before it. Stack several on each letter and the text looks glitched.
Why does my glitch text look different after I paste it?
Fonts place combining marks in different ways, so the same text can look taller or messier on another device. Some apps may also cut the marks down or remove them. Paste your text and check it before you post or save it.
Do I need to install a font?
No. Fancy text is made of Unicode characters, not a font file. You copy it as ordinary text and paste it wherever text is accepted, so there is nothing to install.
Why do some letters show as boxes or squares?
The app or device you paste into draws the characters with its own font. When that font has no shape for a character, it shows a box or a blank space instead. Styles in the "Shows on most phones and computers" group are the safer choice.
