This Privacy Policy explains what information the Fancy Text app for iOS and the fancystyle.app website collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. See also our Terms of Use.

1. Information we collect
Advertising
The free app shows ads served by Google AdMob. Ads load only after Google's User Messaging Platform consent flow has run. Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app asks for your choice first, and you can change it at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. Google may process information about your device and your interactions with ads to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud.
The app does not read your device's advertising identifier and does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Usage analytics
We use Firebase Analytics, from Google, to understand how the app is used. It automatically collects events such as app opens and sessions, the app and device version, and an app-generated identifier, and Google derives an approximate location from your IP address. It does not include your name or email address.
Purchases
Fancy Text Pro purchases and subscriptions are handled by RevenueCat, which receives your purchase and subscription status and a random app-generated user ID so the app can unlock and restore what you bought. Payment is processed by Apple; your payment details never reach us.
Copy counts
When you copy or share a style, bio, nickname or symbol, the app sends our server the type of item, its id and a count, which we store with a timestamp. Copy counts carry no device or user identifier. We use them to build trending lists.
Data that stays on your device
Your favourites, drafts and settings are stored only on your device. We cannot see them.
When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and your message.
2. This website
The fancystyle.app website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site.
- Page views: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies.
- Copy and App Store clicks: when you copy a style or a bio, or tap a link to the App Store, the page sends our server the page, the item id and the time. We use no cookies or identifiers for this and we do not store your IP address.
The text you type into the generators on this website is styled in your browser and is not sent to us.
3. How we use it
- to provide the app and the website, including purchases;
- to show ads in the free app;
- to understand how the app and the website are used, fix problems and improve them;
- to build trending lists;
- to answer your messages and support requests;
- to meet legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our agreement with you (providing the app and the purchases you asked for), your consent (for example for ads where the law requires it), and our legitimate interests in running and improving the app and the website.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the app and the website, each processing it under its own privacy terms, or where the law requires:
- Apple: app distribution, purchases and payment.
- RevenueCat: purchase and subscription status.
- Google (AdMob, Firebase Analytics): ads, consent and usage analytics.
- Cloudflare: website hosting, website analytics, and the server that stores copy counts.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. How long we keep it
- Favourites, drafts and settings stay on your device until you delete them or delete the app.
- Analytics and ad data are kept according to the retention settings of the provider.
- Emails are kept as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of support.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
7. Your choices and rights
- Where the consent form applies to you, you can change your ad choices at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy choices.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict some processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. To make a request, email support@fancystyle.app.
8. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app and the website change. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
