Small Text Generator. Small caps and tiny letters.

This page turns your text into small text you can copy and paste. Small Caps writes every letter as a small capital, so a word looks like capitals at the height of lowercase letters. Superscript, often called tiny text, raises each letter and makes it smaller, like the letters in a footnote. Small Caps is in the "Easy to read" group; tiny text is harder to read, so keep it short.

Where these styles show up

These styles are Unicode characters, not a font, so the app or device you paste into decides how they look. If its font has no shape for a character, that character shows as a box.

FAQ

Updated 22 October 2026

How do I use these small text styles?

Type your text in the box and every style updates. Tap the style you like to copy it, then paste it into a bio, caption, username or message.

What is the difference between small caps and tiny text?

Small caps are capital letter shapes at the height of lowercase letters, and they sit on the line like normal text. Tiny text uses superscript letters, which are smaller still and raised above the line.

Why do some letters stay normal size?

Unicode does not have a small version of every letter. In Superscript there is no tiny q, so q stays an ordinary letter. In Small Caps, s and x stay as ordinary lowercase letters, which already look like small capitals.

Do I need to install a font?

No. Fancy text is made of Unicode characters, not a font file. You copy it as ordinary text and paste it wherever text is accepted, so there is nothing to install.

Why do some letters show as boxes or squares?

The app or device you paste into draws the characters with its own font. When that font has no shape for a character, it shows a box or a blank space instead. Styles in the "Shows on most phones and computers" group are the safer choice.
